Get POPed! Be POPed! And get ready for an explosive opening by Electrico! Be awed by the extensive visual creations by visual artist Achtung! Achtung! and dance your night away to the progressive beats by djB, dubbed one of the best house DJs in Asia. So get POP this spring, at SAM.
Singapore Art Museum (SAM) and Zouk present POP – A Spring Party, a new initiative by SAM to reach out to different audiences.
Pop is held in conjunction with SAM’s current exhibition Primary Colours: Feng Zhengjie, an exhibition that showcases 27 works by the renowned artist. He has been described as a trenchant observer of society who remains ambivalently fascinated with Chinese pop culture.
Pop aims to create an environment where youths can immerse themselves in music and appreciate visual arts at the same time.

Highlights for the party include a fashion showcase with apparels from M-LAB, showcasing the latest ONTOUR SS08 collections from Netherlands while djB from Zouk club spins his arsenal of exhilarating house music. Visual jockeying team Achtung! Achtung! will also challenge your perception of contemporary art with their visual performance.

Beer sponsored by Archipelago and plenty of party food – hot dog buns, candy floss, ice cream, sweets will be served to suit the kitsch art on exhibition.

Electrico
Meet the band - 4 guys, 1 girl, many fans and just a whole lot of jump up and down, feel-good, super catchy rock 'n roll - always with a touch of class. Electrico plays tunes that were born from their hearts but that lodge themselves in your head. In fact, separating the "O" from their name might just be the perfect way to sum up everything about them - sex, intense, liquid passion and just possibly the best feeling in the world.

Brainchild of Quincy (Video Artist) and Jasmine (Multimedia designer), Achtung! Achtung! is a leading visual jockeying team in Singapore and is a regular VJ for a bi-monthly READYSETGLO event in Velvet Underground. The mischievous duo played side by side with the international sets of The Rapture (NY), IDC (UK) and JUSTICE (Paris).

Zouk's house stalwart - one who pushes house sound to a whole new level. It's no wonder he's been cited by Martin Solveig & DJ Gregory as the best house DJ in Asia at the junction Bali press conference 2005. House heavyweights like Roger Sanchez, Jay J & Feddy Le Grand, Claude Monnet and many others have played at djB's productions released under labels such as Soufulric/ LookAtYou/ Mapdance.
